Obituary Online notes for Rev. Charles Evans APPLE
Rev. Charles Evans Apple, 92, of Asheboro, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Cross Road Retirement Community in Asheboro.

Funeral services, will be conducted 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 10, 2016, at Sawyersville Wesleyan Church with Rev. Jeff Garner, Rev. Darrell Rabon and Rev. Dan LeRoy officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park.

Born in Guilford County, NC, on January 27, 1923, Rev. Apple was the son of the late Lexie and Helen Heath Apple. He started preaching at age 19 in Franklinton, NC. He preached his entire 70 years in the Wesleyan denomination and at several locations across North Carolina. The Charles E. Apple Legacy award was created in his honor in 2005 and is presented annually to a minister within the Wesleyan Church.

In addition to his parents, Rev. Apple was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Junia Apple on October 23, 2015; brother, Warren Apple; and sister, Hallie Apple Morton.

Rev. Apple is survived by his daughter, Carolyn A. Brady and husband, Odell of Ramseur; granddaughter, Lisa Perkins and husband, Randy of Asheboro; great-grandsons, Caleb Perkins, Eli Perkins; step-grandchildren, Marie Brown and husband, Bob, Joan Cheek and husband, David, Russell Brady and wife, Sherry, all of Ramseur; and six step great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Louise Robertson Thomas, Mabel Powell, Margaret Smith; and brothers, W.J. Apple and Paul Apple.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Sunday, at Sawyersville Wesleyan Church, prior to the service.
