ELON — Mr. Robert Lee “Bobby” Younger Jr., 65, of 3310 Osceola Road, died Friday, June 22, 2001, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Durham after several years of failing health, two weeks critical. A native of Alamance County, he was the son of Robert Lee Younger Sr. and Alma Chambers Younger, both deceased. He worked for Lee’s Distributing and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Jerry Apple of Elon; a niece, Mrs. Mechelle Apple Jones of Burlington; and a nephew, Dwayne Lee Apple of Rochester, N.Y. A graveside service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday at Alamance Memorial Park by the Rev. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory from 6 to 8 this evening, and at other times at 3246 Osceola Road, Elon.3, Mr. Robert Lee Younger Jr.
