Joseph  "Cap" Lyndon McKinney 
    GIBSONVILLE — Joseph  "Cap" Lyndon McKinney , age 72, of 205 Dunn Road, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 1, 2005, at White Oak Manor.
    A native of Rockingham County, he was husband of Annie Delois Lynn McKinney , who survives, and son of the late Percy David and Hattie Canady McKinney . He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, and a member of the Tabasco Lodge. He retired from Industrial Plastics and was of the Methodist faith.
    Mr. McKinney  is survived by his wife, Annie Delois Lynn McKinney  of the home; daughters, Belinda McKinney  Church and husband, Rex, of Gibsonville, Sandra Dawn McKinney  and Janet Yvonne McKinney , both of Burlington; sons, Tony McKinney  and wife, Tina, of Browns Summit and Kenneth David McKinney  of Gibsonville; grandchildren, Charles and Stephanie McKinney , Kellye and Jordan Church, Cody and Brittany Beasley; brothers, Claude Turner McKinney  of Statesville and Percy David McKinney  of Rome, Ga. He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Joseph  Timothy Mc-Kinney.
    Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 4, 2005, at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Bruce Readling, Dr. Harold Thompson, and the Rev. Paul Baker. Interment will follow in Camp Springs United Methodist Church cemetery.
    Mr. McKinney  will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory through the funeral service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, and at other times at the residence.
