Robert Abner “Bob” Ross, 62, of 228 Trails End Road, died Saturday at his home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Citty Funeral Home Chapel in Reidsville and burial will follow in Evergreen Memory Garden.
A native of Rockingham County, he was a son of the late Robert E. and Connie McKinney Ross and had lived in the Williamsburg Community all his life. He was a tobacco farmer and was of Primitive Baptist faith. In 1972 Bob was named Outstanding Young Farmer by the Reidsville Jaycees.
He was preceded in death by his brothers: James Ross & Bill Ross, and by his sisters: Betsy R. Gilliam & Frances R. Oakley.
Surviving are a son: Allen Vincent Ross and wife, Susan, of Reidsville; daughters: Gina Ross Morton and husband, James, of Oxford, Karen Ross Blackwell of Reidsville and Julianne Ross Hall and husband, Raymond, of Reidsville; a sister: Hazel R. Bowes of Reidsville; grandchildren: Erick Ross, Brook Ross, Alexandra Blackwell, Patrick Ross, Garrett Hall & Hailey Hall.
The family will see friends from 7 until 9 p.m. today at Citty Funeral Home and at other times, they will be at the residence. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, P.O. Box 281, Wentworth, N.C. 27375.3, Robert Abner “Bob” Ross
