Ann  McKinney Smith Harrell 
    REIDSVILLE — Ann  McKinney Smith Harrell , 70, a resident of Avante at Reidsville, died Monday, Sept. 5, 2005 at Annie Penn Hospital.
    A native of Rockingham County, she was a daughter of the late Jesse Whitt and Margaret Louise and had lived in Charlotte, Burlington, Yanceyville and Kentucky before moving back to Rockingham County, where she spent most of her life.
    Ann  was an artist, a cosmetologist, an art teacher, a homemaker, and an awesome mother.
    She is survived by her husband, John Harrell  of Burlington; a son, Greg Smith and wife Liz of Nampa, Idaho; daughters, Sherec S. Strader and husband Lonnie of Ruffin, and Penny S. Wilson and husband John of Reidsville; brothers, Joseph Edward McKinney of Reidsville, Jesse Whitt McKinney Jr. of High Point, and Thomas Wayne McKinney of Reidsville; sisters, Barbara Jane Walker of Burlington, Betty Lou Patterson of Reidsville, Nancy Elizabeth Shreve of Burlington, and Brenda Gail Stephens of Kernersville; grandchildren, Jennifer Kimbro, Joseph Strader, Laura Wilson, Alexa, Joy Ann , Zechariah, and Antonia Smith; and great grandchild, Chandler Rose.
    The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2005, at Citty Funeral Home Chapel and burial will follow in Oak View Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
    The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Citty Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, Penny Wilson, 183 Forest Brook Road, Reidsville.
