BURLINGTON — Melissa Elizabeth Garrison Coleman , 97, of Burlington Manor, 3615 S. Mebane St., died at 2:42 a.m. Monday, March 26, 2007, at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
She was the wife of the late Edgar Coleman , and the daughter of the late Lindsay and Carrie Murray Garrison . She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, and loved taking trips with her family to the beach. She was a member of Piedmont Presbyterian Church, and especially loved her church family.
Survivors include a son, Dean Coleman and wife, Dennie, of Graham; grandchildren, Ron Coleman and wife, Debra, of Asheville, N.C., Nathan Coleman and wife, Crystal of Elon, and John Coleman and wife, Jennifer of Graham; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Louise Sutton of Burlington; and a brother, Billy Garrison of Elon.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Lee Barker and Elida Patterson; and brothers, Herbert Garrison , Clyde Garrison , Leon Garrison , and Murray Garrison .
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2007, at Piedmont Presbyterian Church in Burlington by Dr. Ben Williams. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 this evening, March 27, 2007, at the McClure Funeral Home in Graham.
