Mrs. Jean Carol Summers Beasley, age 81, of North Wilkesboro, widow of James Walter Beasley, Jr., died Sunday, August 18, 2013 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
A graveside service will be held Thursday 1:00 PM, August 22, 2013 at Scenic Memorial Gardens with Rev. Sherrill Wellborn officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 Wednesday evening at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.
Mrs. Beasley was born July 15, 1932 in Wilkes County to Harry Lee and Emma Lee Gentry Summers. She was the Assistant Director of Volunteer Services at Wilkes Regional Medical Center for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Walter Beasley, Jr.
She is survived by: three daughters, Billie Beasley Maynard of Charlotte, Teana Beasley Compeau of Wilkesboro, Jamie Beasley Mowery of Monroe, grandchildren, Phillip Edward C. Compeau, III and wife, Becky Hawketts of San Diego, CA, Samantha Mowery Love and husband, Derek, Sara Ann Mowery, Benjamin Mowery and Harrison Mowery.
