John Preston Boswell Jr., 82, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2015, at his residence.
John was born, in Alamance County, to the late John Preston Boswell Sr. and Lillian Walker Boswell.
He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and served as the Alamance County Extension Agent for over 40 years.
John was a member of Union Ridge Church and a member of the Pleasant Grove Civitan Club. He was also a former president of the Pleasant Grove PTA.
John is survived by his wife, Zuma Boswell, of Burlington; sons, Shawn P. Boswell (Rhonda) and Jeffrey Boswell (Marcia), all of Burlington, and Jason Boswell (Ashley) of Raleigh; grandchildren, Tyler, Courtney, Hayley, Jos and Luc; great- grandchildren, Addison, Landon, Mila and Willow; sisters, Janet Lee and Rachel Page, both of Burlington; and brother, Charles Boswell of Wentworth, NC.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn Zimmerman Boswell; son, Steven Levi Boswell; and sister, Catherine Boswell. 470, John Preston Boswell Jr.
