Lucy Euliss Clapp

Lucy Euliss Clapp, 91, of Liberty, NC, passed away on March 15, 2024, at Alamance Regional Medical Center. She was a loving soul who cherished her family above all else.

She was born in Alamance County to the late William Alfred Euliss and Mattie Coble Euliss on April 12, 1932.
 
 Lucy's life was a testament to the values of love, compassion, and dedication. She was a retired Cafeteria worker with the Alamance County schools. She was a faithful member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Kimesville, NC.  Lucy had a great love for all kinds of flowers, visits from friends, sending and receiving cards and family meals. Although she may no longer be with us in person, Lucy's spirit will live on through the cherished memories she created with all who knew her. 
 
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Clifton C. Clapp; brothers, Glenn, Boaz, Homer, Coble and Devoe Euliss; sisters, Julia Grace Euliss, Barbara E. Johnson, Nellie E. Linnens, and Mary E. Rierson. She is survived by a son; Darrell Clapp and wife Della; daughter, Carolyn Clapp Lineberry and husband David; grandsons, Matthew Clapp and wife Brooke, Mark Clapp and wife Jordan; great granddaughter; Elizabeth Clapp and a host of special nieces and nephews.

Lucy will be deeply missed by her grieving family and friends. May she rest in peace knowing that she was loved beyond measure.
 
A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church, 4400 Alamance Church Road, Kimesville, NC., with Reverend E. Lee Ellis officiating. Committal will follow after the service. The family will receive friends 1-1:45 PM prior at the church. A special Thank-You to Liberty Commons and ARMC Doctor’s, Nurses and Care Team.
