Born in Pembroke on April 5, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Lee and Lydia Meredith Litchford.
Jakie attended the Pembroke United Methodist Church and was retired from VPI Donaldson-Brown Center.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Doree Huffmaster of Mobile, Ala. and a sister-in-law, Dorthalene Litchford of Newport. 470, India Lucille Litchford Vest
