Elizabeth Ann Skeens, 54, of 342 Gulf St., Bluefield, Va., died Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at Bluefield Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Bluefield and was a daughter of the late Sidney Thompson and Sarah Elizabeth Yost Thompson.
She was of the Christian faith and, in addition to her parents, was preceded in death by her grandmother, Georgia Yost; aunt, Maggie Riley; and an uncle, Jack Farris.
Survivors include husband, Walter C. Skeens; son, Danny Skeens and wife Beverly of Bluefield, Va.; daughters, Barbara Ratliff of Princeton, Melissa Skeens and fiancé Thomas Bishop of Bluefield, Va., Gail Hoback and husband Larry of Bramwell, Michelle Keffer and fiancé Sonny Andrus of Bluefield, and Sarah Skeens of Bluefield, Va.; brothers, Kenny Thompson and wife Lena of Bluefield, Va., Stanley Thompson of North Carolina, Danny Thompson and wife Deana of Bluefield, Va.; sister, Dorothy Gillespie and husband Dewey of Bluefield; nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 21, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Dudley Memorial Chapel in Bluefield, Va., with Pastor Omar Burns officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memory Gardens, Bluefield, Va. Pallbearers will be Danny Skeens, Patrick Cook, Jeremy Thompson, Jason Thompson, Derick Thompson and Charlie Riley. Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas Steele, Josh Steele, Garnett Riley and Tim Riley.
Friends may call Monday from noon until the hour of services at Dudley Memorial Mortuary in Bluefield, Va. 470, Elizabeth Ann Skeens
