Walter C. "Bones" Skeens, 76 of Bluefield, VA, passed away at home Tuesday, July 12, 2022 in his sleep of natural causes. Born and raised in Mercer County, WV, he was the son of the late Christopher Columbus and Glenna Mae Fletcher Skeens. He was of the Christian faith and attended Luther Street Christian Church in Bluefield, VA. He enjoyed fishing, riding his scooter, listening to the golden oldies and spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Elizabeth Ann Thompson Skeens and brothers: Ricky Cardwell and Robert Cardwell.
