Louise Stanfield Jones, 75, of 1814 Fairway Dr. died Saturday, Oct. 30, 1999, at Moses Cone Hospital.
Funeral will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday at Woodmont United Methodist Church.
Burial will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery.
A native of the Williamsburg Community of Rockingham Co., she was a daughter of the late Elder Thomas Alvis and Florence Monsees Stanfield and she lived in Reidsville most of her life. A graduate of Draughnn Business College in Winston-Salem, she retired as the secretary at Reidsville Middle School (with 20 years service). She was a charter member of Woodmont United Methodist Church where she was active in the United Methodist Women and was a faithful member of the Wesley Sunday school class.
Louise was a member of the Flora Garden Club and a former Tour Guide at Chinqua-Penn Plantation.
Survivors are husband, Bernard M. Jones of the home; son, Jonathan A. Jones and wife, Judy S. Jones of Hanover, Pa.; daughters, Mary J. Apple and husband, Bill Apple of Reidsville, Margaret J. Apple and husband, Mike Apple of Reidsville, Dena J. West and husband, Lee West of Reidsville; sister, Mary Frances Williams and husband, Burnell Williams of Blairs, Va.; grandchildren, Mara and Lindsay Apple, Wade Apple, Mary Margaret and Laura Lee West, all of Reidsville, Morgan, Emma and Faith Jones of Hanover, Pa.
The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Woodmont United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall and other times they will be at the residence.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Woodmont United Methodist Church, 1926 Richardson Dr., Reidsville, N.C. 27320.
