Obituary Online notes for John Andrew BOONE
John Andrew Boone was born on May 28, 1932 to Andrew and Birdie (Hinrichs) Boone in Denver, Colo., he lived in Denver for 62 years. He passed away on October 5, 2016 at the Yuma District Hospital in Yuma at the age of 84. 

John graduated from the Immaculate Conception Cathedral High School in 1950. From there, he joined the Marines where he served for 6 years. After his time in the Marines ended he worked in the concrete business for 45 years. 

He met his wife Cheri in Denver. They were married October 5, 1969, noting John passed away on his 47th anniversary. To his union both John and Cheri brought children from previous marriages, Veronica, Steven, Wendy, Thomas, Donna, Patty and Theresa. 

An avid fisherman John could often be found at a lake or pond fishing. He also loved boats, building creations and writing poetry. He deeply cherished his relationships with his children and grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Birdie Boone; sister, Annamae Boone; and son, Thomas Smith.

John leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Cheri Boone; son, Steven Boone; daughters, Veronica Wheeler, Wendy Boone, Donna McDade, Patty Thompson and Theresa Smith; 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. 

The memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Southern Baptist Church in Yuma, Colorado with Pastor Chris Gilmore officiating. Baucke Funeral Home is directing the service.--Baucke Funeral Home
