Obituary Online notes for William Andrew PRILLAMAN Sr.
William A. Prillaman (Andy, Bill), Sr., 82, of Roanoke loving husband, father and grandfather went to be with his Lord on Saturday, May 2, 2015.
He was a veteran of the US Army. Andy was a lifelong member of Rockingham Court United Methodist Church and a 30+ year Gideon. Bill was employed by Merita Bakeries for 36 years and gave his entire life serving his Lord and his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanetta Powell Prillaman; parents, James Cary and Ethel Prillaman; sister, Juanita Powell; brother, Saunders Prillaman.
He is survived by his sons, William Prillaman, Jr. and his wife, Bonnie, Bruce Prillaman; granddaughters, Jennifer Lovern, Aryel Prillaman; grandsons, Tristan Prillaman, Cameron Prillaman; great granddaughter, Clarissa Lovern; brothers, J. C. Prillaman and his wife, Glora Dean, Edwin Prillaman and wife, Marggie; sisters-in-law, Ethel Stanley, Ruth Lazenby; brothers-in-law, Walter L. Powell, Jr., Marvin Powell and wife, Lois, John Powell and wife, Brenda, Douglas Powell and wife, Kathy; special friends, Jim and Charlotte Young; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Oakey’s South Chapel with Rev. Craig Newman officiating. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Oakey’s South Chapel.
