Paige Troxler Thompson, 86, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2015 at Friends Home Guilford.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 2, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Westover Church with Rev. Bob Voorhees and Rev. Don Miller officiating.

Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park.

Paige was born on November 20, 1928 in Guilford County to the late Porter Clifton Troxler and Mamie Coble Troxler.

She worked as a receptionist.

She was a charter member of Westover Church where she participated as a pianist, choir member and Sunday school teacher.

She was married to the late Richard Allen Thompson Sr. for forty-seven years.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her parents;brothers, Paul, Hoyle and Garlan Troxler; and sisters, Esta Wyrick, Florine Kivett and Pearle Wyrick.

Mrs. Thompson is survived by her children, Laura Mullinax and husband Joseph of Greensboro, Richard "Rick" Thompson, Jr. and wife Virginia "Ginny" of Chapel Hill, NC; grandchildren, Travis Mullinax, Matthew Thompson, Blake Mullinax and Sarah Thompson; sister Doris Echerd of Charlotte, NC.

Visitation will be held on Sunday night from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Westover Church Missions Fund, 505 Muirs Chapel Road Greensboro, NC 27410; or Friends Home Resident Assistance, 925 New Garden Road Greensboro, NC 27410 in memory of Paige Thompson.

Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel is assisting the Thompson Family.

Mr. Richard Allen Thompson, Sr., 71, of 204 Lynbrook Drive died Sunday, Oct. 15, 1995, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital.

Funeral will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Westover Church and burial will follow in Guilford Memorial Park.

A native of Guilford County, Mr. Thompson was a Charter member of Westover Church, where he served as a former Elder, Deacon, Sunday School teacher and was a faithful servant of the Lord.

He retired after 42 years employment with Carolina Steel Corporation and was currently a part-time employee of the Greensboro Auto Auction.

He is survived by his wife, Paige Troxler Thompson of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Laura Thompson and Joseph F. Mullinax, III of Greensboro; son and daughter-in-law, Richard "Rick" and Virginia "Ginny" Thompson, Jr. of Reidsville; brothers, Carlton Thompson of Madison, Fla., Robert Thompson of Summerville, S.C. and Leland Thompson of Fletcher; sisters, Aline Harcum of Greensboro, Mary Whiteside of Goldsboro and Sarah Byrd of Charlotte; and four grandchildren, Matthew and Sarah Thompson of Reidsville, and Travis and Blake Mullinax of Greensboro.
