Eleanor Colleen Saunders Keith, 71, of Vinton, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, January 7, 1998.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Lora and Alvin Lawhorn and her father, James C. Saunders and granddaughter, Deanna K. Bowden.
Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Willis (Bill) Keith; a daughter, Carolyn Keith, of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, William (Billy) and Connie Keith, James (Jimmy) and Sarah Keith, all of Roanoke; sister and brother-in-law, Norma Jean and Aubie Loyd, Vinton; granddaughters and their husbands, Sonya and Gerry Paige, Kathy and Claude Underwood, Mitzi and Ellis Hale, Cindy and Nelson Defibaugh; grandson and wife, William and Tonya Keith; grandson, Brian Keith; grandson- in-law, William B. Bowden, all of Roanoke and Vinton; special great-grandson, J.W.; and 13 other great-grandchildren; uncle and aunt, Frank and Chan McGeorge, of Vinton; sister-in-law, May Neal, Roanoke; several nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's Vinton Chapel, 1 p.m. Friday, January 9, 1998 with the Rev. Troy B. Webb officiating, burial in Mountain View Cemetery. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel after 11 a.m. Thursday.
