Judy Saunders Weeks of Vinton Virginia went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at the age of 74.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Obel A. and Hazel B. Saunders; sisters, Lenore Martin and Mary Myers; brothers, Jack Saunders and Morris Saunders.
Judy is survived by her sister, Anita Hurley, and brothers, J.T. Saunders, Kenneth L. Saunders and Bill W. Saunders. Also, she is survived by her daughters and son-in-law Cindy Field, Donna and Mike Leiner. Always precious to her are her grandchildren, Brian Hodges with Rebekah, Derek Leiner with Kathleen, Carl Leiner, Melissa Sublett and Cameron Field. Judy was loved by numerous nieces and nephews and four great grandchildren and best friend, Carla Vest, all of whom she adored.
A family viewing will be at 10:00 AM and friends and family will be received at 10:30 AM at Lotz Funeral home in Vinton. A Celebration of Her Life will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 30 2016 at Lotz Funeral Home in Vinton, VA. with the Reverend Kenneth Butterworth officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. The family requests in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to Vinton First Aid Crew in Vinton VA, 120 W. Jackson Ave, Vinton VA, 24179. A special thanks to the staffs of Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, North Roanoke Dialysis and Berkshire Health and Rehab for their excellent care of Judy.
