Mrs. Saunders' Rites Planned for Wednesday
Funeral services for Mrs. J. D. Saunders, 55, life-long resident of Pulaski, who .died at her home on East Fifth Street yesterday following a lengthy illness, will be conducted from the Anderson Memorial Chapel at 2:30; tomorrow with Dr. W. W. Arrowood, pastor of the Presbyterian church, in charge, assisted by the Rev. Francis Hume Scott.
Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Saunders was a member of the Christian Church and is survived by her husband, J. D. Saunders and the following, children: M. D. Saunders; M. L. Saunders, Mrs. Dan Thomas and J. E Saunders; two brothers: E. P. Hall, Pulaski, and W. W. Hall, of Richmond; a sister, Mrs. Mae Vandergrift, of Pulaski: and five grandchildren.
Pall bearers will include Frank Robinson, Howard Jackson, Miller Tickle, Clinton Warner, Okie Kidd, Lewis Marshall, A. B. Boadwine and R.C. Tickle.
Flower bearers, will be members of Mrs. Saunders' Sunday school class. [Published in the Southwest Times 04 Jun 1940]
