Obituary Online notes for Mary Ellen CROWDER
KING, NC ~ Mrs. Mary Crowder Gibson, 49, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2003, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem.
She was born Feb. 4, 1954, in McDowell County, W.Va., to the late Walter Garnett and Ellen Saunders Crowder.
Mrs. Gibson was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church of King. She was a hairstylist for 16 years at J.C. Penney in Winston-Salem.
Mrs. Crowder is survived by her husband, A. Dean Gibson of the home; a son, Brian Gibson and wife Wendy of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a brother, Daniel Crowder and wife Rita of King; a special caretaker and sister-in-law, Martha Gibson; and special friends Tammy Sizemore and Carol Moss.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brad, Rex, John, Jimmy, Chuck and Dale.
Special thanks to Hospice of Stokes County and the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home of Winston-Salem for their loving care and kindness.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 8, 2003, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel, with the Rev. Roger Baker officiating. Entombment will be at Crestview Memorial Park Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 this evening at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
