Obituary Online notes for Ruby Helen HAMLIN
ERWIN - Ruby Helen Ramsey, 84, of 4241 Old Asheville Highway, Flag Pond, died Tuesday at Unicoi County Memorial Hospital.
She is also survived in Greeneville by a daughter and son-in-law, Bea and Allan Brown.
She was a daughter of the late Emmitt and Lillian Shook Hamblin.
Mrs. Ramsey retired from Morrill Electric.
She was a member of Jennie Moore Memorial Presbyterian Church.
Additional survivors include her husband: Roy Ramsey; Flag Pond, TN. two sons and daughters-in-law: Carl and Agnes Ramsey of Flag Pond and Alfred and Agnes Ramsey of Erwin; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers: Paul Hamblin and Owen Hamblin, both of Mars Hill; a sister: Villa Capps of Mars Hill; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Ledford Funeral Home, 720 Ohio Ave., Erwin, and other times at the home.
The funeral service will follow visitation at 8 o'clock Thursday in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Dr. Angus Shaw will officiate.
A graveside service and interment will be held at 10 o'clock Friday morning in Evergreen Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Steve Shealy, Edwards Sparks, Gary Tipton, Eric Brown, Keven Brown, Bobby Ramsey, Joe Gouge and Rocky Price.
The pallbearers will meet at the funeral home by 7:30 p.m. Thursday and at the cemetery by 9:30 a.m. Friday, and family, minister, and friends will meet at the cemetery at 9:50 a.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Jennie Moore Memorial Presbyterian Church, 4282 Old Asheville Hwy., Flag Pond, TN 37657.
