Obituary Online notes for Roy Vincent RAMSEY
Roy V. Ramsey, age 100, 4273 Old Asheville Highway, Flag Pond, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 26, 2018, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was a lifelong resident of Unicoi County. Roy was a son of the late Floyd and Lessie Buckner Ramsey. He was a farmer and member of the Flag Pond Ruritan Club. Roy was a member of the Jennie Moore Memorial Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Helen Ramsey on December 9, 2003; four brothers and four sisters.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories, two sons: Carl Ramsey and wife, Agnes, Flag Pond, Alfred Ramsey and wife, Agnes, Erwin; one daughter, Bea Brown and husband, Allan, Greeneville; one brother, Lewis Ramsey, Michigan; five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Wednesday prior to a Celebration of Life Service which will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at the Robert Ledford Funeral Home Chapel. Keven Brown will officiate. Music will be provided by Bobby Ramsey. Pallbearers will be Bobby Ramsey, Nathan Ramsey, Keven Brown, Eric Brown, Cory Brown, Trey Brown and Todd Brown. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorial contributions in memory of Roy Ramsey to: Jennie Moore Memorial Presbyterian Church Building fund, 280 Jennie Moore Rd, Flag Pond, TN 37657, or to: The Gideon's International, Gideon Memorial Bible Representative, P.O.
