Barbara Brande Somers, 84, of 312 Browns Chapel Rd. Gibsonville, NC went to be with the Lord Friday December 26, 2014 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital Greensboro, NC.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Monday December 29, 2014 in Citty Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Reidlawn Cemetery.
A native of Rockingham County, she was a daughter of the late John Cecil and Ollie Haney Brande and lived in Caswell County for most of her life. She was a retired employee of Glen Raven Mills in Altamahaw, NC where she had worked 40 years and was a member of Thompsonville Baptist Church. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband William Grant Somers, a son: Cecil G. Somers, and two brothers: Cecil Brande and Arlon Brande.
Survivors include: sons: Dale Somers of Gibsonville, NC and Terry Somers of Sneads Ferry, NC, daughters: Cheryl S. Pettigrew and husband David of Gibsonville, NC and Karol S. Gray and husband Don of Waynesville, NC, daughter-in-law: Pam M. Somers of Raleigh, NC, 11 grandchildren,5 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to the Hospice of your choice.
