Obituary Online notes for Wayne Emmett BURNETTE
Wayne Emmitt Burnette, 90, of 4175 Puncheon Fork Rd., Mars Hill, NC passed away Thursday, November 27, 2014 at Madison Health and Rehab.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Madison County and a son of the late Bertram E. and Vertie Thomas Burnette.
He was also preceded in death by his wife Lois English Burnette.
Wayne was a farmer, a member of Bright Hope Laurel United Methodist Church and loved fox hunting with his hunting buddies.
He was survived by his sons; Victor Wayne, Les E., James “Bo” and wife Margaret Burnette, daughter, Glenna Burnette Collins, sister, Bobby Ann Snelson, grandchildren; Stephanie Burnette, James and wife Tanya Burnette, Kendra and Luke Burnette and Garrett Anders.
The funeral service was held at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 30, 2014 in Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service.
Reverends J. D. Deyton and Harold Lewis l officiated.
Burial followed in the Upper English Cemetery. .
The family would like to say a special thank you to the employees of Madison Manor Health and Rehab for the wonderful care given Wayne during his stay.
