BAKERSVILLE: Liona Taylor 56, of the Rebels Creek community died Wednesday, March 3, 2004, in the Asheville Hospital.

She was the daujghter of the late Herbert and Estelle Murdock wife of Hall W. Taylor, who died in 2003. She was also preceded in death by two brother, J.D. and Guy Howell.

A graudate of Western Carolina University was an employee of United Community Bank and had worked in the Banking industry in Burnsville for many years.

Mrs Taylor was a faithful member of Lilly Branch Baptist Church, where she served as director of music.

She is survived by her daughter, Amber Taylor of the home; sister Wilma Tinney of Bakersville; and brothers Ted Howell and Kenneth both of Bakersville..

The funerall services will be held at 8 p.m. Friday in the Grindstaff Memorial Chapel of Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine. The Rev. Matthew Grindstaff and Donald Davis will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m.until the service time.

Burial will be in the Rebels Creek Cemetery at 11 a.m. Saturday.
