Hazel Pennington Howell, 82, of Marshall, died Wednesday, March 9, 2005, at Elderberry Nursing Home after a period of declining health.
Mrs. Howell was born Feb. 27,1923, in Page, W.Va., to the late Joseph and Bertha Pennington.She was an accountant and an avid seamstress.
Preceding her in death was her husband, George Howell, her sisters, Clara Belle and Kay, brothers, Bill and Gerald and her daughter-in-law, Kathy Buckner.
She is survived by her sons, Larry D. Buckner and his wife, Annie, of Tacoma, Wash., and Alan H. Buckner and his late wife, Kathy, of Belleville Ill.; grandchildren, Bryan, Duane, Daniel and Matthew Buckner, Paul Norman, Christina Tackett and Desirea Brees; and eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Elderberry Nursing Home. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Candler.
The family of Ms. Howell is entrusted to Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Candler.
