Obituary Online notes for Kit Aubry WAGNER
Kit Wagner, 63, of South Hutchinson, died Feb. 20, 2011, at his home. He was born Dec. 16, 1947, in Lyons, KS the son of Floyd and Mavis Hurtt Wagner. He was a 1966 graduate of Lyons High School and had attended Hutchinson Junior College Vocational Tech Program.
He was a mechanic for the Kansas Department of Transportation for many years and had previously worked for Consolidated Manufacturing.
He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #982, Hutchinson.
Survivors include: two daughters, Katrina Burns and husband Ray, Hutchinson and Jennifer Dixon and husband Randy, South Hutchinson, his mother; Mavis Logbeck, Hutchinson; a brother, Todd Wagner, Henderson, Nev.; two sisters, Kim Knight and husband John and Kathy Lohrey and husband Gary, all of Hutchinson; and five granddaughters, Ashley Burns, Kellie Burns, Amber Walters, LuAnn Dixon and Aubrie Dixon. He was preceded in death by his father and a nephew Matthew Malmstrom.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory with the Rev. Harold Nelson presiding. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m to 9 p.m. Tuesday with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday all at the funeral home. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Williams Syndrome Foundation or Hospice of Reno County in care of the funeral home.
