Gary George Williams Sr., 60, died May 25, 2002, at his home in Hutchinson.

He was born July 4, 1941, at Hunter, the son of Cecil and Arlene Baird Williams. He was a graduate of Salina Central High School. A Hutchinson resident for over 22 years, he was Superintendent of the Elevator for Continental Grain.

He belonged to the Moose Lodge, Hutchinson, and had been active as a coach with Hutchinson Recreation and American Legion.

On July 29, 1961, he married Darlene Hemmy at Salina. She died Sept. 8, 1992. On May 1, 1995, he married Connie Monroe at Hutchinson. She survives.

Other survivors include: two sons, Gary G. Jr., Salina, and Greg, Wichita; two daughters, Kathy Williams, Hutchinson, and Karen Gipson, Kansas City, Mo.; a stepson, Miguel Mendez, Hutchinson; a brother, Don, Aurora, Colo.; two sisters, Sharon Stevenson and Bev Jones, both of Salina; and 12 grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Hutchinson, with Father Richard Stuchlik presiding. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. today at Johnson & Sons Funeral Home, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson.

Memorials are suggested to the Hutchinson Recreation League or to the YMCA, both in care of the funeral home.
