Obituary Online notes for Roger Newton LEE
Roger N. “Jolly Roger” Lee, 75, of Graham, died Sunday, November 3, 2019 at his home after a brief battle with cancer.
A native of Alamance County, Mr. Lee was the husband of Debbie Sykes Lee, who survives, and the son of the late Louis Percy Lee and the late Ora Lee Clifton Lee.
Mr. Lee was a truck driver for over 30 years and a veteran of the United States Air Force.
In addition to his wife, Debbie, of the home, Mr. Lee is survived by three sons; Michael Lee and his wife, Shanon, of Burlington, Doug Lee and his wife, Heather, of Elon, and Joe Lee of Haw River; fourteen grandchildren, Ashley Lee, Kyle Lee, Caleb Oakley, Zachary Lee, Emma Lee, Justin Bulla, Tyler Hopper, Nicholas Lee, Wyatt Lee, Paxton Lee, Landon Scarlett, Trent Lee, Dylan Lee and Liam Lee; a sister, Jean Cottle Motley and her husband, Bill, of Burlington; a brother, Lemmie Lee and his wife, Sue, of Citrus Heights, CA; his mother-in-law, Betty S. Brown of Burlington, a sister-in-law, Jami Brown of Liberty, a brother-in-law, Tim Sykes of Stone Mountain, GA and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Lee was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Kelly Lee; a brother-in-law, Randy Sykes and two infant siblings.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 6, from 5:30 until 6:45 PM at Rich and Thompson Funeral Service in Burlington.
A memorial service will follow at 7:00 PM in the Rich and Thompson Chapel.
