Joenita L. Keller, 83, passed away on November 20, 2020 at Heritage Pointe in Warren. Joenita was born April 9, 1937 to Leland and Blanche (Hedrick) Bonewitz in Huntington, IN.
Joenita married Wayne L Keller in November of 1954. Together, Wayne and Joenita became active leaders in the Huntington County 4H and clubs. Joenita was also active in Gingham Gals and Homemakers club. Joenita was a member of Solid Rock United Methodist Church. She worked at Heritage Pointe in Warren for 35 years.
Loving survivors include her children, Deborah L Gaston, Brenda (Tim) Conner, Gregory W (Nancy) Keller, Douglas E (Sue) Keller, and Penny E (Eddie) Hibler, grandchildren Stan (Belinda) Gaston, Rachel Gaston, Christine Conner, Dustin (Sarah) Conner, Justine (Ralph) Gates, Garrett Keller, Melody (Quincy) Hunter, Dustin (Allison) Garwood, Caitlin Keller, and Jalee Bowers, great-grandchildren Stephanie Duvall, Aimee Gaston, Marissa Gaston, Parker Gaston, Rylan Gaston, Dustin Taylor, Mary Taylor, Dimitri Taylor, Ariana Taylor, Camden George Conner, Whitley Conner, Ralph E Gates, Sage Hunter, Reese Hunter, Scarlett Hunter, Kinsley Garwood, Aspen Garwood and Wynn Garwood, and great-great grandchildren Loreli Gaston, Abigail Gaston, Amira Duvall, Kayden Taylor, Leeah Taylor, Colton Taylor, Meralynn Owens, Keifer Owens, Felix Owens, brother Lynn (Viki) Bonewitz and many nieces, nephews, cousins and long-time friends.
Joenita was preceded in death by her parents, Leland and Blanche Bonewitz, her husband of 30 years, Wayne Keller, her sister, Karlita Hassig, her brother, Denny Bonewitz, grandchildren Amanda Keller and Malachi Bowers.
A private family viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Glancy-H. Brown & Son Funeral home in Warren. Friends and family may gather for a graveside service at Woodlawn Cemetery in Warren, Indiana on Tuesday November 24, 2020 at 11am.
Pallbearers include Dustin Conner, Dustin Garwood, Quincy Hunter, Demitri Taylor, Garrett Keller, Ryan Gaston, Parker Gaston, Anthony Owens, and Ralph Gates. Honorary pallbearer is Stan Gaston.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Huntington county 4H in the Wayne Keller leadership award, Solid Rock United Methodist Church, or donor’s choice.
