Joyce Ann Ashburn, age 61, a resident of Trinity, passed away Wednesday, March 19th, 2014.
She was born on November 10, 1952 in High Point to Rosie Joann Dunn and had been a resident of this area all her life.
Joyce was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed playing yahtzee and solitaire, and watching hummingbirds and squirrels. She also was avid NASCAR fan, especially when Tony Stewart was racing. Most of all, Joyce enjoyed spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her father; Tex Telford.
She is survived by her children; Tina Shuler and her husband Phil and Timothy Tex Tucker and his wife Stephanie all of Trinity, her mother; Rosie Joann Telford of Jamestown, her sister; Brenda Ford and her husband Rick of High Point. Also surviving are her grandchildren; Ashley Whitehead, Jessica Turner, Samantha Tucker, Phillippe Shuler, Meghan Tucker, Kyleigh Tucker and her great grandson; Liam Denny.
A service to celebrate Joyces life will be held Monday, March 24th, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale,with Reverend Kenneth Brown officiating.
Interment will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Thomasville.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
