Mrs. Joann Dunn Telford, 84, of Jamestown, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2018 at the Hospice Home at High Point.
Born October 17, 1933, in Jamestown, Joann was the daughter of the late John and Minnie Hall Dunn.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Tex Telford; daughter, Joyce Ashburn; and two brothers, Roy and Ralph Dunn.
Joann was retired from the former White House Restaurant and had also worked at the former L&R Restaurant. She was of the Baptist faith, and loved being at home tending to her laundry and cooking.
Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Ford and husband, Ricky; brother, Ronald Dunn; six grandchildren, Jennifer Ford, Eric Ford and wife, Danielle, Jimmy Ford and wife, Alexis, Tina Shuler and husband, Phil, Timmy Tucker, and Michael Ellis and wife, Stephanie; 12 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018, in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Dr., High Point, NC 27262.
