BLEVINS WINSTON-SALEM Nellie Boone Blevins Jan. 10, 1923 - April 26, 2012
Mrs. Nellie Boone Blevins, 89, resident of Arbor Acres, died April 26, 2012.
She was born January 10, 1923 in Orange County, NC, to the late Luther and Annie Mitchell Boone.
She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy Boone Oakley and Helen Boone Compton.
She moved to Winston-Salem in 1948 and was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Robert Blevins; two sons, William (Chris) Blevins of Galax, VA and Thomas Blevins of Morehead City, NC; three grandchildren, William, Caroline, and Suzanne; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, April 29 at New Hope United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Hope United Methodist Church, Ronald McDonald House, or Arbor Acres United Methodist Retirement Community 544, Nellie Boone Blevins
