He was predeceased by: his wife Patsy Greeson Hill; his son Michael Allen Hill; and his brothers, Joseph Edward Hill and James Hill. He is survived by: his sister-in-law Linda Boulding Hill of Archdale, NC..

Obituary for Carlton Eugene Hill

December 16, 2020: MAYODAN – Mr. Carlton Eugen Hill, 78, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, 8 days shy of his 79th birthday.

He had been a resident of North Pointe in Mayodan since May 2019 where he as lovingly cared for by Director, Kathy Petty and her wonderful staff.

Carlton was the resident soloist at North Pointe and thrilled residents and visitors with his amazing voice and his special rendition of How Great Thou Art. His voice will echo in the halls there for years to come.

Carlton was born, December 24, 1941 in Danville, Virginia to Joe and Ruby Jobe Hill.

He graduated from High Point High School and was a faithful member of Mt. Lebanon Methodist Church in Randleman, North Carolina over 25 years.

Carlton served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was awarded medals for Marksman, Vietnam Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal.

Carlton, along with his wife, Patsy, owned and operated Douglas Printing Company in High Point for over 50 years.

Carlton was a faithful volunteer at The Place at the Table ministry in Randleman for many years.

He is survived by his sister-in-law, Linda Boulding Hill of Archdale, NC. He was predeceased by his wife, Patsy Greeson Hill; son, Michael Allen Hill, his parents, and brothers, Joseph Edward Hill and James Hill.

It was his request that his body be donated to Wake Forest University School of Medicine for medical research. There will be no formal service.
