Mrs. Corrina C. Yount
BURLINGTON — Mrs. Corrina Campbell Yount, 79, a former resident of Piedmont
Way, died at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, 1999, at Wake Medical Center after several
years of failing health, two weeks critical.
A native of Maiden, she was the wife of the late Mr. James William Yount, and the
daughter of Mr. Richard Campbell and Mrs. Ninna Conipe Campbell, both deceased. She
was retired after 30 years with Burlington Industries, Pioneer Plant. She was of the
Baptist faith.
Survivors include three daughters, Miss Cherry Yount and Miss Kathy Yount, both of
Cary, and Ms. Christy Y. Page of Elon College; two sisters, Mrs. Dosie Baulding of
Burlington and Mrs. Marjorie Daniels of Washington, D.C.; one brother, Mr. Tollie
Campbell of Nashville, Tenn.; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Prue Wilson and Mrs. Norrisa Eubanks.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at Maiden City Cemetery in
Maiden by the Rev. David Gordon, youth pastor at Brookwood Baptist Church. Burial
will be in the Maiden City Cemetery.
The body will remain at Lowe Funeral Home until taken to the cemetery for the graveside
service. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Lowe Funeral
Home. At other times, the family will be at the home of the sister, Mrs. Dosie Baulding,
1303 Cherry Drive, Burlington.
