Joseph F. Kirkhoff, 68, of Eaton, died Tuesday, March 10, at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Ind.
Born June 12, 1929, in Eaton, he was the son of Frank W. and Susie R. (Sherer) Kirkhoff.
He was a 1947 graduate of Eaton High School and had been the owner and operator of the Credit Bureau of Preble County for over 45 years.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving with the rank of sergeant during the Korean War, and was a member of the Eaton Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Mary H. (Willis) Kirkhoff; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Kathryn and Bernie Brown of Centerville, Ohio; nieces, Vicki and Susan Brown, Lisa and Amy Reasoner; and nephews, Chris Najpaver and Todd Reasoner.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Ellery, in 1965.
Funeral services were Saturday, March 14, at Barnes Funeral Home-Eaton Chapel, with Glen Fisher officiating. Burial, with military graveside services, was in Mound Hill Union Cemetery, Eaton.
