Mary Hattie Willis Kirkhoff, 70, of Eaton, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2000, at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Ind.
She was born in Wayne County on Jan. 31, 1930, to James E. and Minnie McDaniels Willis.
A homemaker, she attended schools in Cambridge City, Hagerstown and Jacksonburg.
Survivors include two stepchildren, Phyllis Brown and John Itterman, both of Indianapolis, Ind.; five sisters, Goldie Carson of Alexandria, Ind., Hazel McKinney of Columbus, Ind., Gladys Copeland of Sulphur Springs, Ind., Sarah "Katie" May of Richmond, Ind., and Janie Roberson of Cambridge City, Ind.; four brothers, Howard Douglas of New Castle, Bobby Willis of Cambridge City, Ind., Charlie Willis of Richmond, Ind., and Elmer L. Willis of Dublin; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Kirkhoff, her stepmother, Leanna Willis; a sister, Betty Ruth Hinshaw; and four brothers, David, James O., Johnny and Russell Willis.
