Obituary Online notes for Mary Esther PENCE
M. Esther Cornwell, 83, of Eaton, died Wednesday, June 16, 2004, at her home.

She was born Oct. 3, 1920 in Eaton, to the late Raymond H. and Flora (Kirkhoff) Pence. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Eaton; Daughters of the American Revolution and a 1938 graduate of Monroe High School. She retired as a cook from the Eaton Public School System. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack R. Cornwell who died Feb. 7, 1988.

Survivors include a son, John M. Cornwell, Ph.D. of New Orleans, La.; daughter and son-in-law, Connie S. Cornwell and Sydney Loke of Carrollton, Texas; brother, Dale Pence of West Manchester; sister, Jean J. Bailey of Eaton; nieces and nephes; special companion of six years, Marvin Hensel.

Funeral services were Saturday, June 19, at Girton-Schmidt-Boucher Funeral Home, Eaton, with the Rev. Brian Dillahunt officiating. Burial was in Mound Hill Union Cemetery, Eaton.
