Obituary Online notes for “Jack” Jack Reed CORNWELL
Jack R. Cornwell, 70, of 111 Romadoor Ave., Eaton, died Sunday, Feb. 7, at Heritage House of Richmond (Ind.) after a long illness.

A native of Means, Ky., he had lived in Preble County most of his life, and owned and operated the former Cornwell Oil Co. for 23 years. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife, Esther Pence Cornwell; one son, Dr. John M. Cornwell of New Orleans, La.; one daughter, Connie S. Cornwell of Friendswood, Texas; his father, Swell C. Cornwell of New Lebanon; one brother, Gano Cornwell of Springfield, Mo.; one sister, Pauline Fox of Richmond, Ind.; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, at Girton-Schmidt-Boucher Funeral Home, Eaton, with the Rev. James W. Ayers officiating. Burial will be in Mound Hill Union Cemetery, Eaton.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Preble County Cancer Society.
