Willard L. Johnson, age 98, of Eaton, OH passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 19th.

He was born on February 16, 1927 in the house of the family farm where he lived his entire 98 years.

His parents were the late Raymond and Beulah (Ott) Johnson. In addition to his parents, Willard was preceded in death by his stepmother Vonda (Ketring) Johnson, wife of 70 years Marjorie, son Richard Johnson, brother Kenneth (Mary Ellen) Johnson, Dale (Margie) Johnson, sister Carolyn Beasley and great granddaughter Amanda K Johnson.

Willard is survived by his daughter Diane (Ray) Ross, Eddie (Kathy) Johnson and daughter in law Pam Johnson. 5 grandchildren, Shananne (Darrell) Middleton, Joe (Clara) Johnson, Dan Johnson, Leslie (Mark) DiSalvo), Casey (Tiffany) Johnson. 8 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.

Willard graduated from Eaton High School in 1945.

In his work life, Willard served 22 years at Parker Hannifin as well as kept very busy with the running of his family farm. He took great pride in keeping the property looking well kept. In his down time, he always had a puzzle he was working and was a formidable card player. He always supported his grand kids in all their school activities and sporting events. Willard was a kind, generous, and welcoming person that loved his family passionately.

Gard Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Eaton is assisting with arrangements.

Willard's family would like to give special thanks to all the compassionate caregivers, nurses, and Hospice workers at Vancrest of Eaton where he resided for the last few months.

Private service held at the convenience of the family with Pastor Andrew Stensaas officiating.
