OBITUARIES Mrs. Margaret  Paschal Cole Cheek 
    BURLINGTON — Mrs. Margaret  Paschal Cole Cheek , 87, of Edgewood Place, formerly of 6815 Paschal Road, died at 3:50 p.m. Monday, January 30, 2006, at Edgewood Place after five years of declining health and eight days critical illness.
    A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late John Long Paschal and Annie Lee Barnett Paschal. She was the wife of the late Leroy Cole  and Winfred H. Cheek , who survives. She was a life-long member of Stony Creek Presbyterian Church. She was retired from Carolina Biological Supply Company.
    Survivors include two daughters, Caren Bryant and husband, Bob, and Phyllis Massey and husband, Fred; son, John Cole  and wife, Gray; stepdaughter, Diane Norblad; stepson, Danny Cheek  and wife, Teressa; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a sister, Gertrude Rumley Greeson; and a brother, John L. Paschal Jr.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband; sister, Cleo Catherine Paschal; and a brother, Thomas Alexander Paschal.
    Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2006, at the Stony Creek Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Ken Hickey. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Cheek  will remain at Lowe Funeral Home until taken to the church, where the family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m., prior to the funeral service.
    The family wishes to extend a special thanks to all the Edgewood staff that loved her and cared for her so tenderly. Also a very special thanks to Arlene Lassiter, who gave so much love and kindness to Mom — was always there to feed mom her dinner at least twice every week for the past year. Words cannot adequately express how wonderful all of you are and how much we love you. God bless all of you.
