Mr. John Long Paschal Jr.
Mr. John Long Paschal Jr., 89, ofWinston-Salem, died Sunday morning, November 15, 2009, at Forsyth Medical Center.
Mr. Paschal was born October 20, 1920, in Alamance County, a son of the late John L. Paschal and the late Annie Lee Barnett Paschal. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran during WWII serving in China, Burma, and India. He was retired from Piedmont Airlines with 28 years of service and was a charter member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife,Virginia Aldridge Paschal in 2001; sisters, Margaret Cheek, Gertrude Greeson and Cleo Paschal; and brother, Tom Paschal.
He is survived by his children, Mike Paschal and wife, Teresa, Jesse Paschal, Tony Paschal and wife, Zeny, Martha Young and husband, Rick; 9 grandchildren; and 16 greatgrandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November17,2009,atCrestview MemorialParkwiththeRev.Judson Milam officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
