Alene S. Warren
BURLINGTON — Alene Sutton Warren, 93, formerly of McKinney St. passed away Sunday, January 4,2015 at Twin Lakes Health Care.
A native of Guilford County, she was the wife of the late Vern R. Warren and daughter of the late Onnie B. and Mary Ida Payne Sutton.
Alene was a member of Eastlawn Baptist Church where she was a member of the Choir, Sunday School teacher, Girls Auxiliary and the Women’s Missionary Union.
Survivors include her son, Dale R. Warren and wife Susanne of Raleigh; daughter, Linda H. Cooper and husband Hal of Snow Camp; sister, Marie S. Gerringer of Elon; grandchildren; Jeffrey Rudd, Jennifer Rudd, Sara
A. Warren, Lindsey Eckert and Meredith Ellison; great grandchildren Caroline Rudd, Morgan Rudd, Jack Ellison, Ben Ellison and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers, Lenneous Lee Sutton, Rev. Thomas Sutton, Garland Sutton, Gilmer Sutton, O.B. Sutton, Jr.; sisters, Mary Lou Long, Doris Wilhoite, Lillie S. Brown and Opal S. Jones.
Funeral
services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, January 7, 2015 in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Steve Joyner. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park
Mrs. Warren will remain at Lowe Funeral Home through the funeral service. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 5-7 pm on Tuesday, January 6, 2015.
