Robert Clifton "Cliff" Apple


    SILER CITY — Robert Clifton "Cliff" Apple, 81, passed away Monday, January 26, 2009 at Sunbridge Health Care. He was born July 18, 1927 in Guilford County to the late Ronnie and Claude Gerringer Apple. Cliff was the husband of the late Willie Etta Apple who preceded him. Mr. Apple was self employed as a logger until his retirement and he was of the Baptist faith.
    Survivors include his son, Jerry Apple and his wife Jane of Graham; four grandchildren, Carnell Apple and his wife Vanessa of Graham, Benjamin Apple and his wife Shelly of Liberty, Lane Apple of Graham, and Deanna Apple of Graham; a great-granddaughter, Andrea Apple of Liberty; six brothers, Jerry Apple, Dewey Apple, and Reid Apple all of Gibsonville, Buddy Apple and Delano Apple both of McLeansville, and Hobert Apple of Julian; a sister, Gladys Apple of Gibsonville; and a special nephew, Todd Apple of Gibsonville.
    Cliff was preceded in death by his wife, parents, a brother, Houston Gerringer, and a sister, Carnell Randleman.
    A funeral service will be held 11:00 a. m. Thursday, January 29, 2009 at Trinity Worship Center with the Rev. Darrell Cox and the Rev. Steven Janicello officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park in Greensboro. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at his sister’s home, 3200 Huffine Road, Gibsonville.
