Mrs. Viola C. Fitts
SWEPSONVILLE — Mrs. Viola “Pinkie” Crawford Fitts, 93, of Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center of Alamance in Graham died at 2:10 p.m. Thursday, April 1, 1999, at Alamance Regional Medical Center after several years of failing health.
She was a former resident of Swepsonville.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Mr. David C. Fitts and the daughter of Mr. Robert Edward Crawford and Mrs. Artelia Wilkie Crawford, both deceased.
She was a member of Swepsonville United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Mr. Robert Fitts of Swepsonville; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Mr. Elam Fitts; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Payne, Mrs. Myrtle Squires and Mrs. Grace Teer; and two brothers, Mr. Ernest F. Crawford and Mr.
Giles Crawford.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at Rich and Thompson Chapel in Graham by the Rev. Dave Gilbert, pastor of Bethlehem Christian Church.
Burial will be in Phillips Chapel cemetery.
The family will be at Rich and Thompson Funeral Home in Graham from 6 to 8 this evening, and at other times at the home of the son, 1156 Ernest Lane, Swepsonville.
