Sue Carol Clapp Clubb
   BURLINGTON — Mrs. Sue Carol Clapp Clubb, 77, of 2112 Edgewood Avenue, Burlington died at her residence on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at 8:25 a.m.

   A native of Guilford County, she was the wife of Posie Lee Clubb, who survives and the daughter of Floyd Everett Clapp Sr. and Myrtle Smith Clapp, both deceased. She retired from Western Electric and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gibsonville.

   In addition to her husband of the home, survivors include two daughters, Jan Boswell and husband Jim of Wilmington and Jill Smith and husband Bobby of Mebane; five grandchildren, Neil Boswell and wife Stacie, Kristen McGuire and husband Trent, Brent Boswell, Kourie Underwood and husband Darryl and Dan Axsom; greatgrandchildren, Tyler Boswell, Elizabeth Underwood, Gracie McGuire, Aiden Underwood, Cailyn Boswell and Caroline McGuire; one brother, Floyd “June” Clapp Jr.; and two sisters, Lucy Wagoner and Agnes Fogleman.

   The funeral service will be conducted at the First Baptist Church of Gibsonville on Friday, September 21, 2012 at 12:30 p.m. by the Rev. Jim Upchurch, Pastor Al Goff and Pastor Titus Lehman with the family receiving friends from 11 a.m. to noon prior to the service at the church. Other times the family will be at the residence.

   Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.

   Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington is in charge of arrangements.
