William Howard Carden
 
 GRAHAM — Mr. William Howard Carden, 85, of 516 Wentworth Drive, died at his residence Sunday, June 19, 2016.
 
 A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Kay Carden, who survives, and the son of Grady Carden and Iola Carden, both deceased.
 
 Mr. Carden was a 1948 Graham High School graduate. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired from Dillard’s. He was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness.
 
 In addition to his wife of the home, survivors include two stepdaughters, Wendy Renee Foushee of Burlington and Leslie Foushee Whitesell and husband Brian of Elon; and two grandchildren, Baleigh Whitesell and Colby Whitesell.
 
 Mr. Carden was preceded in death by a maternal grandmother, Sally Flynn; and aunt, Louise Hanford.
 
 The funeral service will be conducted in the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at 11 a.m. by George Cooper and Carson White with the family receiving friends from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Graham Memorial Park. At other times, they will be at the residence.
