Mrs. Evanell Moore Miller
GRAHAM — Mrs. Evanell Moore Miller, 81, of 110 Home Ave., died Thursday, April 4, 2002 at Alamance Regional Medical Center after a short illness. She was born in Alamance County to the late John Thomas Moore and Annie Leigh Ratcliffe Moore. She was married to the late Charles Edmund “Cowboy” Miller who died in 2001.
A graduate of Elon College, Mrs. Miller worked as an accountant for Tower Mills, Shadowbrook Hosiery Mills, Bobbitt Labs and she retired from Fogleman Brothers. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Graham, were she was in the Fidelis Sunday School Class, member of the Friends on Mission Circle and participated with the Triple L’s Senior Citizen Group.
Survivors include two daughters: Anne Miller McDowell of Greensboro and Elizabeth Miller McCormick of Charlotte. She was also the grandmother of four grandchildren: Amber Evans, Ashley Smith, Lewis Smith and Abigail McDowell; two sisters: Sallie Moore Pritchett of Raleigh, Gertrude Moore Johnston of Burlington and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, grandson: Wesley Blake Evans, brothers: David A. Moore, Sr., G. Howard Moore, and William “Bill” Moore, sister: Lucille Moore Ross. Mrs. Miller will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory until taken to the cemetery for the services.
The graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Graham Memorial Park by the Rev. Chris Phelps. The visitation will follow after the service at the residence. Memorials may be made to Homebound of First Baptist Church of Graham, 224 N. Main Street, Graham, NC 27253.
