Alene Butler Paschal 
    REIDSVILLE — Alene Butler Paschal , 85, of 8446 Cherry Grove Rd. died on Sunday, April 17, 2005 at Edgewood Place after 7 months of failing health.
    She was born in Caswell County, daughter of the late Eugene Stokes Butler  and the late Florence Iona Saunders Butler  and was married to James Wilbert Paschal , Sr. for 68 years, who survives. She retired from Burlington Industries, Plaid Mill Plant, was a member of Camp Springs United Methodist Church and she loved to crochet and sew.
    She is survived by her husband, James Wilbert Paschal , Sr. of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Margie and Junior Ward of Burlington, Betty and Arthur "Doc" Ford of Graham; a son, James Wilbert "Jimmy" Paschal , Jr. of Augusta, GA; grandchildren, Rodney Ward, Ginger Paschal  and Johnathan Paschal ; eight great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; sisters, Lois Aldridge, Shirley Compton, Frances Page, all of Burlington, Ruby Swift of Elon, Naomi Parker of Arizona, Doris Byrd of South Carolina, and Brenda Sterns of Miami, FL and a brother, Melvin Butler  of Reidsville.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Mitchell Paschal ; brothers, Eugene Stokes Butler , Marion Eugene Butler  and Connie Mack "Tony" Butler  and a sister, Alma Summers.
    The funeral will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Renee’ Burnette. Burial will follow in Camp Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30 PM Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the daughter’s home, Margie Ward, 505 Spring Valley Dr., Burlington.
    Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, Alamance Regional Medical Arts Center, 1236 Huffman Mill Road, Suite 1050, Burlington, NC 27215.
