Eleanor Ann Clarke
Eleanor Ann Clarke, 81, of Chesapeake Virginia passed away suddenly and peacefully on December 13th, 2017.
"Ann" was born in Whitsett, North Carolina on February 1st, 1936. She was the daughter of the late Brower and Jenny Ingle.
After high school, she joined the United States Air Force and was stationed at Sheppard Air Force Base, Wichita Falls, Texas where she met and married her husband, Airman Ronald A.
Clarke also stationed at Sheppard Air Force Base. After they were married, they settled in the Washington D.C area where Ron joined the Metropolitan Police Department and Ann began raising their four daughters.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving and devoted husband of 64 years, Ronald Clarke; their four daughters, Vicki Moore and husband Bobby, Cheryl Timberlake and husband John, Kathy Croft and her husband the late Mitchel Croft and Jacquelyn Emms and husband Tom; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Andrews; brothers, Joe Ingle, Jerry Ingle and Tony Ingle; many nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 18, 2017 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Springwood Presbyterian Church, Burlington NC.
Following the visitation, the funeral service will be conducted at the church at 2 p.m. by Rev. Marybeth Asher-Lawson. Interment will be in the church cemetery at the conclusion of the service.
